Heart of Healing Workshop - June 2nd, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
On Sunday, June 2, singer/songwriter Cindy Novelo will provide the message for the service AND will be presenting her Heart of Healing workshop that afternoon from 1-3.
Many of you have asked when she would be presenting this workshop here at Unity - and finally it has come to be! An ovarian cancer survivor, Cindy has experienced first-hand the bounty of grace within misfortune. In this workshop, she will delve deeply into the healing journey, sharing how she found endless gifts within adversity. Using interactive exercises, she will explore with workshop participants how to unveil the heart to reclaim the soul’s true joy, how to befriend fear, how to embrace the moments of darkness that are ultimately a pathway to the light, and more. Gain practical tools, valuable insights, and a refreshingly positive perspective during this heart-filled afternoon experience.
New Group at UCOL: Sacred Singing!
Do you love to sing? And does it help to know you don’t need to read music or sing on key? Then this opportunity is for you! UCOL will begin a new opportunity called Sacred Singing, facilitated by member, Stephanie Barrows, beginning March 5th and continuing the FIRST Tuesday of each month from 7-830. This open and awesome opportunity is available to ALL ages---no one too young or too old! The group will meet in the Fellowship Room downstairs so there will be plenty or room to play music and sing. Bring any/all instruments to share and play. There will be a great mix of songs from different traditions, such as folk and popular music, including sacred traditions. Ideally, there would be some time set aside for people to share new songs, whether these came from traditional or original sources.
A free will love offering will be taken. If you have any questions just ask Stephanie!
